Alan Deutschman is one of America's most provocative
thinkers about leadership and change. His 2009 book, Walk
the Walk: The #1 Rule for Real Leaders,
was selected as one of the best business books of the year by Strategy
+ Business magazine as well as by the Miami Herald.
In a 22-year career as a journalist, he has been the Silicon Valley correspondent for Fortune, a senior writer at Fast Company, the "Profit Motive" columnist for GQ, and a contributing editor at Vanity Fair and New York Magazine.
His articles have appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Wired, and Salon.com.
He is also the author of The
Second Coming of Steve Jobs,
Tale of Two Valleys,
and his books have been translated into eight languages.
Deutschman has been the keynote speaker at leadership conferences for organizations ranging from General Electric to National Public Radio.
He has taught leadership at Emory University's Goizeuta Business School, and beginning in January 2011 he will hold the Donald W. Reynolds Professorship of Business Journalism at the University of Nevada at Reno.
